I stayed here for a week and a half and it was the best experience one could have. The "cottages" are neat, clean and have what is needed for a perfect stay. The road was close by but I was not bothered by any vehicle noise. The pool was not open yet, it was still quite chilly (May 5-14). The deer across from my room were so great to see , just sitting in the grass. Fran, the owner, is a real gem of a person. Had some real good conversations with her. If you want luxury, this is not for you, but is down home quality and comfort is what you're looking for, this is the place. Thanks again Fran!

My wife and I just celebrated our 28th anniversary and decided to go to the Hamptons. We went to the Easterner for two nights. We have been coming to this gem of a motel for more than 30yrs. Fran, the owner, is a wealth of information and a wonderful person. All rooms have a kitchen, there is a pool and a tennis court and if you want to barbecue that is also available. The place is between Hampton Bays and Southampton so the restaurant choices and beach/fishing choices etc are endless. Having worked in the hotel business for years, I think it is a challenge to give people a consistent good experience year after year. Fran does that in a unique nonintrusive way. We have only great memories of coming to this place. I can't say that about many places. In these tough economic times, the Easterner is even more of a value since you can use the motel as your base and day trip all over the East end of LI. If you are thinking about a trip to the Hamptons, whether a day or week, I would suggest you book the Easterner.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed staying here. The price was extremely reasonable. The room included a kitchenette, which was great for also saving on money for the trip. The hotel manager, Fran, was very helpful and friendly, offering tons of useful advice about beaches in the area. This hotel was definitely an essential part of our relaxing, fun trip. Definitely consider this place if you plan on a trip to the Hamptons.

tennis in the morning, beach and bay swimming, pool and cocktails while getting everyone ready for dinner on the town. Nice to have some extra bucks to spend on eating out.
