Really old musty run down down
I could have taken a cruise to the islands for these two nites.
And to top it off the manager or who ever answers the phone is rude.
and the room was dirty. Pubic hAir on tile at eye level. U get the pic.
Save your money it really was that bad.

My son and I were visiting the Hamptons primarily for a sporting event in which he was participating, but also for some friend and family time. Not knowing the "lay of the land", I started on-line research for accommadations that were in Southampton. With August being the super "high" season in a VERY exclusive summer destination, I quickly realized that even IF I were to find an available room, the rates would be $400+ per night! I stumbled upon the Hamlet Inn (the full name, by the way, is the "Hampton Hamlet Inn"), and gave them a call. The person I spoke to was very kind and assurred me that we would be getting a comfortable night sleep, and most importantly, without the noise of a "partying crowd" to keep us up at night. The rates were reasonable, and I was warned during that initial conversation that the pool was under renovation and not available (we would likely not have used it anyway, but I was impressed by her honesty).

We arrived to find a very kind and accommadating owner who lead us to our room, which was extremely clean, with plush and comfortable bedding. There was a refridgerator, a microwave, and a very adequate bathroom. This is a small motel, no frills, very basic. This is not a resort by any means. However if you need a quiet, well-located, extremely clean and comfortable room (excellent AC as well!) then this may be a nice option for you. They include a lovely continental breakfast in a room off the reception area. The owner has decorated a substantially sized room in all white with wooden floors, granite counters, and all the shabby-chic you could ask for...really surprisingly inviting. Couches for lounging, with a huge flat screen TV so you can have your coffee in the morning and catching up on the news of the day!

I would return to the Hamlet Inn. It is a great value if you just need a clean, quiet room without any frills. It's on about 2 acres of land, and double check with the owner, but I believe they allow pets. Enjoy!!!!
