We made reservations originally at the Enclave in Shinnecock. After driving 2 hours, with our 2 dogs in the car, we arrived at our destination. When no one was there, and key to our room was not left for us, we called the reservation desk and they said our room wouldn't be ready for another 2 hours past checkout times.
So we were forced to look for another place, which thankfully happened to be the Hamlet Inn.
It's very quaint and cozy. The room was clean and comfortable. The bedsheets, which are important to us, were white and crisp and clean! The owner was very lovely and accomodating. The grounds were great for walking our dogs. We enjoyed it so much that we tried to extend our stay but couldn't because the rooms were already booked for a family reunion.
If you are not looking for luxury, and posh, expensive surroundings in the Hamptons, I would certainly recommend the Hamlet Inn. It provides comfort, coziness, is pet friendly and is pretty centrally located though in a very tranquil setting. We will go back there the next time we visit the Hamptons. Thank you for a relaxing stay!
