The Nearshore's tastefully appointed modern style set it apart from other B&Bs as we were searching for a place to stay in the Hamptons. The independence allowed to us by our gracious hosts while we were there--use of the pool, directions to get wherever we wanted, and a well-stocked studio (local info, magazines, wifi, books, movies, teas and coffees, toiletries) let us feel like we really lived there!
The studio felt private and yet also allowed us a wide range of places to spend our time-- outdoor deck and Adirondack chairs facing the lawn, large table we used as an office, sofa and comfortable bed and soft linens set up near the tv, cable and ipod dock-- designs that made the most of the space and allowed the feeling of many different rooms.
The generous, fresh and delicious breakfast basket of croissants, scones, fresh fruits, yogurt, mixed nuts, fresh squeezed orange juice and fresh coffee allowed us to wake up whenever we liked and left us full well into the afternoon.
The road is somewhat difficult to find for first-time visitors, but anyone nearby knows how to give directions to the famous and walking-distance Lobster Inn.
We were pleased and would definitely recommend The Nearshore and go again.
