The B&B is in a wonderful area. The town of Skaneateles is just beautiful.The lake is crystal clear and unbelievably clean. We ate at the Sherwood Tavern and it was great. The home itself was just mediocre.We have stayed in many B&B's and this for us lacked
a homey feeling. There is no central air just a room unit which was very noisy. If you turn it off and open the windows the road noise was bothersome. If you have trouble going up a staircase this is not the home for you. You use a rope to help you get up the stairs and they are steep. Breakfast was quite nice. We were quoted one price on the phone, but upon checkout there had been a lack of communication between the owners and we paid more. My husband was put in a very uncomfortable situation so he did not press the issue. I would not recommend this B&B to couples who have not stayed at others to compare.

Beautiful house, gorgeous, lovingly-tended garden, delicious breakfast. Most of all, the host couple makes a great effort to acquaint guests with the area, providing maps, directions, and recommendations. Close to the attractive town of Skaneateles, with a view of the lake. Very relaxing.

My wife and I decided to spend our 25th wedding anniversary this September in Skaneateles and our hosts at Aunt Louise’s made it truly memorable. My father called ahead and asked if the inn would provide some local wine for our room and it was there upon our arrival along with a lovely card that the innkeepers went out and bought. It was almost like spending time with family or good friends. They were also very helpful recommending local restaurants and wineries and truly had a passion for the area.
The inn is located a few miles from town on the east side of the lake (but not on the lake) and is ideal for it seclusion. The rooms are very clean and the breakfasts were delicious.

While traveling on our annual trip to New England we stopped our first night here. Our room was clean and well decorated. The owners asked and provided very early morning coffee which we enjoyed on their lovely outdoor patio. The breakfast was delicious and the conversation engaging. We will now plan our annual trip to include a stay at this lovely bed and breakfast.
