Yes, the Skaneateles Boutique Hotel in downtown Skaneateles was a good experience. The service, price and location were all spot on. The hotel was very clean. My mother and I stayed for two nights while we attended a family wedding. I'm hoping my husband and I will get back there sometime soon!

Just one bit of advice. If you're going to this hotel, expecting it to be a 'boutique' hotel in the standard sense of 'boutique' hotel, be aware that it's not at that 'luxury' level. It's in a B&B style home with Hampton Inn type rooms - which I quite like.

Everything we needed was there - including an Honor Kitchen with free juice, pop, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. And was close walking distance to restaurants and shops.

All in all, a very good experience.

A friend and I stayed here for one night Oct 22. It is in a great location to walk to lake, dining, and shopping. As a frequent traveler, I was surprised by the thoughtful little things offered to guests. There is a little basket of 'goodies', placed near the coffee maker. Granola bars, oreos, peanuts....and all complementary. They supply above average shampoos, soaps and even supplied make up remover towelettes! There was a nightlight in the bathroom, and a flashlight plugged into wall near bed. There is a kitchenette upstairs with complementary sodas and juices. A lot of nice little touches from this small hotel!

Will def. stay here again on next trip to Skaneateles!

We stayed at this hotel based on recommendations in Trip Advisor and were not disappointed, Room was very clean, refrigerator had some drinks and snacks, it was quiet, and location was convenient to downtown. We thought the trim and colors were a bit dated, and would have liked a slightly larger flat screen for catching up on football, but would definetly recommend this hotel.

Over the past 2 years, I have returned to Skaneateles several times, and my choice of accommodation there is definitely either the Skaneateles Suites (2 mi. outside of town) or this in-town hotel, both of which are managed by the same owners. I spent one night recently in their ADA-compliant room in town, which happened to be the one that was available at the last minute (see their website for great deals on last-minute accommodations). It is superb: roomy, with a huge walk-in shower, a desk, comfy giant chair, and of course a very comfortable bed. There is a wrap-around porch outside, where one can linger even on a rainy afternoon and enjoy the ambiance. All of their properties have excellent furnishings and every comfort one could wish for. If one is going to choose between their properties, I would recommend that first-time visitors to Skaneateles might like this one. Staying in town is a plus, because you can walk to everything, leave your car parked at the hotel, and easily enjoy all the activities and shopping. For an extended visit, or for those who want to explore the area and visit wineries or do other day-trips, I would recommend the Skaneatles Suites, which are just slightly out of town and are absolutely quiet, tranquil, and yet in the heart of beautiful surroundings and still close to everything. Either way, the staff at either of these hotels will make your stay a very pleasant one.
