The location is the best part of this b&b, overlooking chase creek. Very pretty in the morning with the sun shining on the creek, and yes, a deer trotted by at breakfast. The house itself is very average. Nothing special. The bedroom was clean, the linens nice, toiletries consisted of soap and shampoo and were very average. We were in #1 with the living room and fireplace. The antiques in the room were a bit shabby and the predominant color in the living room is brown with lots of conflicting prints, just not my taste. My husband and I both found the bed to be very hard, so we did not sleep well. The camelback sofa facing the fireplace was not comfortable. The 'extensive continental breakfast' consisted of juice, coffee, yogurt, granola, breads, toaster french toast, toaster waffles, fruit. I was expecting some additional protein, like boiled eggs, sliced cold cuts or cheese, so I was disappointed. The little breakfast room has 2 tables, and is nicely surrounded by windows so you can see the creek. However, the plastic/silk flowers on the tables did not improve our breakfast experience. In the afternoon, there was hot water to make a cup of tea or hot chocolate in the breakfast room, but no cookies, or treats of any type. I have been to many b&bs that offered so much more than Chase Creek for the price.
