“Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

Hotel seems to have been recently renovated so decor and bedrooms are in good shape. The King bed room I stayed in was very spacious.

The bathrooms are also renovated, but a little tight and the ceilings are low. The staff was pleasant and easy to talk to.

The location is great. You can walk down the main street of Saratoga right from the hotel.

Room Tip: Try to avoid the first floor since the windows are at ground level.

“Worth a return trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

We stayed here for a family event and were very happy with our choice. The hotel staff was friendly and the hotel was very clean. We saw no evidence of the problems others have reported. Our room was well appointed wiht modern, good quality furniture and a large flat screen TV. The room was spotless and comfortable. We slept very well and had a choice fo soft or hard pillows. Yes, the bathroom isn't large but it had everything one needs.
The hallways had attractive carpet and wallpaper. The indoor pool was typical of indoor hotle pools - useful but not spectacular.

The firepit outside the restaurant was a nice touch.

“Plain, clean, and comfortable.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011

I stayed just one night on a business trip. This was my second stay here, and I won't hesitate to come back again if I have to stay in that area. Overall, a quick, easy, and comfortable stay. The public parts of the hotel seem to be a little newer than the rooms, but the rooms aren't bad at all.

The location of the hotel is pretty good - right on the main road going through Saratoga. It's kind of on the "end" of the busier part, but still within walking distance to many shops, etc.

The room was plain, but it was clean and comfortable. The HVAC worked well, it was well-lit, and it was easy to get some work done on my laptop for a few hours. The bathroom was (again) plain, a little on the small side, but very clean.

Limoncello, a restaurant across the street, is amazing.

“Very well run.”

I spent 4 nights on business, and the wife came along. The hotel is obviously a little dated, with smallish bathrooms and long monotonous hallways, but the place is spotlessly maintained and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The attached restaurant is fairly typical with a limited menu and average quality, but the location of the place makes it just a short walk to many places to eat and drink on the main street of town.

Room Tip: We were towards the back of the first floor and too close to the maid's laundry. Try to get upst...

“Less than expected”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2011

We prepaid for a room with one king size bed and, upon arrival, found we had been given a room with two double beds. Were told this was the only room they had, which we knew to be incorrect because we had other members of our party staying there who were given a king bed on their double bed reservation. Rooms were antiquated, particularly the bathrooms. Biggest factor in its favor was that they played the out of town football game! If we revisit Saratoga we'll stay at the Adelphi or another of the Victorian hotels.
