My Stay Was a week long . longer than the norm for a bed and breakfast. after a long day on the motorcycle it wasa pleasure to return to the Westchester House Every night . the staff was very nice and made me feal like i was home.

The light breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day; the scones and muffins were scrumptious. Our host was fun and very helpful about the local sites and restaurants. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely bath; it was cool at night due to its temperature being controlled by the thermostat in our friends' room, but the bedding was warm and we slept well. The shower was very pleasant; my husband wanted to take the shower head home with him. As described by our host it seems a special place to stay during racing season with his wine parties in his outdoor gardens.

The owner of Westchester House is extremely warm and friendly but the high price was not worth it. For 205 dollars per night before taxes we got a room not in the main house but across the parking lot in a drab second house, apparently bought to supplement the number of rooms. The main building was charming but we were not in it, save for breakfast. Breakfast was also disappointing. For 200 a night I had hoped for more than a breakfast of muffins, bread, some ham, and cheese when I awoke. It is tough to write a hard review on such a nice guy but the room simply was not worth the money paid.

This is the perfect B&B for a trip to the Saratoga Performing Arts Centre. The rooms are beautifully appointed, beds are comfortable, and all your needs are anticipated. The extensive gardens are beautifully set up for a relaxing cup of coffee in the morning or glass of wine at night. The hosts are congenial and helpful, and the location is convenient. Fresh-baked muffins and pastries every morning just make it better.
