The Hilton Garden Inn in Ronkonkoma is a very good hotel. The staff is exceptional. There is a ton of parking. Check in was fast and efficient. The rooms are what you would expect but what caught my eye was the level of maintenance. Nothing was broken or missing, no rust anywhere in the bathroom. The heating and air conditioning worked well and quietly. No honor bar and no pay per view and they were not missed. Refrigerator was good and there was a coffee maker that I didn’t use as they had free coffee in the lobby every morning. There is a very small gym and a small swimming pool which I didn’t use but checked them out anyways.
Another thing that caught my attention was the level of service of the staff. It was really good. Everybody was friendly and tried their best. Breakfast was included in my room rate, so every morning at 6am I was down at the restaurant. The waitress made very sure I had what I wanted every day. I also ate a couple of appetizers during the dinner time frame. Again the service was over the top. Two people worked the dinner crowd and they both saw me the second I walked in and made sure I got what I wanted. The waitress was cute too, she obviously deserves a bigger rock on her finger then the one she wears.
Overall a great place. I recommend it.
