“picture perfect”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

Charming and quaint Dreamers Cove at times can be mystifying as the views are forever changing. I am a professional photographer from the city and in my opinion Dreamers Cove is the absolute most scenic property on the North Fork of Long island. From sunrise to sunset the Peconic Bay mixed with the wild life is dazzling. Its the natural beauty that gives this Inn its shine. Its an older establishment that is very well maintained and the rooms are updated. Even though this place is a photographers dream it wouldn't matter much unless the hospitality was welcoming. Well you will most definitely feel at home as the small staff is warm and helpful. This a must visit for romantics , and family groups. Hated writing this review in fear that other photographers will catch on to this hidden gem , but this place deserves the praise.

“what the doctor ordered”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2011

CHECK-IN -Very pleasant. All of our questions were answered and we were given an extremely useful local map ( ask for the map)

ROOM- Room was as advertised. Its not a Hilton hotel room but still quaint , comfortable , and clean. Best of all was the view of the peconic bay and the private deck.

PROPERTY- It sits right on the peconic bay so your surrounded by water views. There was kayaks and BBQS which made for some great times. The beach is small but very private also very sandy.

AREA- As advertised we were close to all the wineries and restaurants. A few of the vineyards we went to were Jason Vineyards , Martha Clara , Diliberto Vineyards , and Clovis Point, but there was many more. We ate at Meeting house creek and the Elbow Room. Both restaurants were good and close.

SERVICE - Quite often around the Inn we saw the Innkeeper who was friendly and always asked how we were doing.

RECOMMEND- We stayed 3 nights wish it was more . This is place is extremely peaceful and laid back. Charming and scenic lodging in wine country. Great for friends and couples. Little pricey but worth it.

“Absent Management”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011

When you guarantee a room over the phone and arrive at 3PM only to find a locked office, a note stating you room #, but no one to register you or answer questions, when your calls to the office phone are NEVER answered, when your bathroom door cannot be fully closed, when there is not a chair in your room, you are not a happy camper, even when the view from your room is beautiful.

“Loved it and going back again (and again, and again)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 June 2011

I stumbled upon the Dreamers Cover Inn website while looking for a family friendly spot on the North Fork. It far exceeded our expectations! Lovely little motel tucked away on the bay, off the beaten path, with it's own private beach, free kayaks, bbq and a lovely common lawn area where all the children played together. Everyone else who was there at the time had been coming back for years, and now we are making our annual pilgramage back too. Rooms are clean and pleasantly decorated with a beachy vibe. Bed's were a bit hard. We'll probably bring our own pillows this year but that's the only thing that wasn't perfect. Staff was friendly and helpful. They supplied a rollaway cot for our 6 year old daughter which fit perfectly at the foot of our bed, and she was very comfortable. No problem for extra towels, or help lighting the BBQ. It's a friendly, casual atmosphere, great for families yet surpisingly quiet. All the rooms have a little back deck with chairs and a picnic table facing the common lawn area. We brought local foods from a farm stand, then BBQ'd in the back. Close to wineries, restaurants and Riverhead (where there's lots of stuff for the kids - aquarium, splish splash water park, long island game farm). Or drive further out to Greenport and Orient Point. LOVE this place and can't wait for our next visit!
