very clean. excellent scones, cookies, etc. marsha was very friendly. very quiet location, surrounded by trees, on rural road. yet conveniently located a couple miles from rhinebeck. a minor downside is that walls and doors between rooms are not well insulated for sound, so you may hear footsteps or conversation from your neighbors.

My husband and I toured QC, VT, and the Hudson Valley in Aug 2006. We stayed in 9 hotels/inns/B&Bs. We specifically visited Rhinebeck to go to the famous Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. We chose this property because of its proximity to the Aerodrome and its price. I could not find any reviews, so I'm posting this one for future travellers.

What we liked about this property:
- Delicious breakfasts with individual preferences considered
- Guest fridge with cold drinks provided
- Air conditioning in rooms
- Very private/quiet grounds
- Free passes provided for the Aerodrome
- Pleasant hostess who offered us snacks for the road
- Ensuite bathroom
- Reasonably priced for the area

What we didn't like:
- No TV or phone in bedroom
- Minimal sound proofing between rooms (we could hear the snoring next door)
- Shower temp & pressure affected by other guests' water usage
- Breakfast area set in the dated rec room
- Very basic bedroom, a real B&B feel

Your experience with this B&B will depend on how much you like the real B&B scene. We are not big fans of the "real" B&B experience. We prefer inns where we get the B&B benefits (nice breakfasts, smaller properties, more civilized clientele) but can stay somewhat anonymous and don't have to feel like we are staying in someone's spare bedroom.
