My family has stayed at this same motel for years and loved it. The motel used to be owned by a nice old man who remembered everyone by name and went out of his way to please everyone. Now the new owner is not at all professional. First the rooms all smelled very musty. There was 7 families of mine who were staying there. One of the main reasons for staying there was the heated pool. The owner said the heater was broken for some time. Also the ice machine was broken from over the winter time. Those are a couple of understandable incidents. Next came the owner and some other people outside a few feet from our rooms playing loud music, laughing and partying well into the hours of 2:00 a.m.! A complaint was made the next morning about it. No loud music that night. The following night the music and laughter continued in the house which is adjoined to the motel office. There was strange people in and out of there all hours of the night. It was outright scary and sleezy. Next was a toilet that overflowed in one of my families bathrooms. We tried to reach the owner, which always was hard to do. Finally when he came over he put some towels on the bathroom floor which was flooded and said the maids will take the towels in the morning. We found this to be unacceptable. We asked if he could have someone clean it with a mop and disinfectant. He brought a mop and was angry, saying it is our mess and we should clean it up cause we did it. He said he wasn't our slave. We were pushed to our limit and finally got angry and started arguing with the owner. Trying to make him see that he was being unreasonable and we were paying to stay there and they should have maintance available to tend to such things. He would not see reason. He was very insulting. We finally told him we would never return and he would loose alot of business. He said he didn't care and replied "I am not going to die if I loose your business". My sister ended up cleaning up the mess herself. There was alot of other incidents like a broken baby swing which was repairs but just tying a knot. A large broken limb on a tree that the small children were haning on, my brother noticed and pulled it down easily and thanked god no one was hurt. So all in all I would like to prevent anyone from staying at this motel and going through what my family did. We could not get our money back and had to stay the 3 nights. We tried to make the best of a bad situation. We didn't want to go back home after this long anticipated vacation.
