The first room they gave me, the card did not open the door and they promptly came up to help me and also had trouble getting into the room. They gave me another room.

I had to be there for business. Older hotel that seems to have been upgraded recently. Free WiFi worked perfectly, room was clean and seemed well maintained. I needed an extension cord because of some equipment and they promptly brought one up.

A little pricey, but because of it's location was ok. Free breakfast was good and not buffet but made to order.

We stayed at the Poughkeepsie Grande while in town for a wedding . Our stay was pleasant and comfortable. The room was clean and relatively modern but nothing fancy. Having stayed in other hotels in the same price range we would consider this one pricey. Nevertheless we found the staff to be friendly and accomodating and had a good time overall. The main downfall we found with this hotel was its location. We certainly wouldn't feel safe walking alone on the street at night as the neighborhood was rather seedy. Thankfully the hotel provided a trolley to and from the wedding venue which we found to be both safe and convienient.

I stayed at the hotel because of a wedding in the area. The accommodations were simple, and frankly the price was a premium to what you were getting. i was most disappointed with the bathroom shower- water barely warmed up and the pressure was nonexistent. Having said that, the hotel definitely served its purpose. It provided a decent breakfast in the morning and was very close to the venue. The trolly between The Grandview and the hotel was very convenient and the hotel drove us to the train station the next morning. The free wifi was also a plus. I would recommend it to someone looking for something simple in the area.

Stayed with wife and group of friends for New Years Package. Had a blast in general. Dinner, drinks, dancing and room all included. Crowd was a little older that expected but considering the price of things wouldn't be too many young people there I guess. Check in was easy but they didn't have a king room for us so we got stuck with just two doubles which was lame. Bar in lobby seemed cool and had nice ambiance. Rooms were average and clean and there was a mini fridge and microwave. Showers were good. Bed was terrible, really hard and sheets were rough. No ice in ice machine down the hall. Breakfast was what you'd expect no real surprises. The free parking was a plus. Don't expect a view, it's Poughkeepsie. Would I stay again... and for New Years....? maybe.
