Not bad, and price was right.
The entire town has a dower feel to it, but this hotel was fine.

I typically try to see the good side of things, before complaining.

Here it goes, friendly staff at the time of checking in.

We had to change our travelling plans and ended up in Plattsburg, NY on a Saturday, we had a tough time finding a place, Americas Best Value inn had only a couple of rooms left, we checked it out and despite its run down look, we had to take it.

After going to bed and turning of the lights my wife was awoken by an hitch in the neck. She turn on the lights to see bugs crawling near her pillow. BED BUGS! They love drakness because despite us looking before we really could not find any.

We contacted the front desk to tell them we are out of there and want our money back. Night time employee told that he is new here and can't do anything about it until manager come in at 7:00. We checked out drove 25 miles to the nearest motel with available room and said we would coe back to get our money.

We really had to work hard to get them to reimbursed. They claimed they check the room 106, and found nothing. When we confrontef them with pictures and video of the room and bugs. They changed attitude, gavr us our money and said they would address the issue.

Well you are welcome to try to see if they did or do....

Plan ahead and avoid this one.

and go to the Microtel down the street a little further. The first room was a free upgrade due to membership and it included a bathroom with hairs on the floor, a room with moisture damage and mould mould mould ! The air conditioner was from the 1970's and didn't work to cool the room at all. The place was so musky smelling. I went to complain and they upgraded me to a room non smoking with 2 doubles, microwave, fridge. This room was not much better except the air conditioner worked. The beds are hard and uncomfortable and the finishings of the room were terrible as well as the house cleaning. I don't know who inspects these units but they must be blind. They are moldy, musky, and dusty...never again unless they gut the whole place and redo it. The misleading thing is the lobby/office area which is kept up to par for the Greyhound bus depot they run out of the establishment...good place to catch a bus...and leave !

Ok,i'm sitting in one of their room now.It's not as bad
1. I paid 64.95 for the room, using a roomsaver coupon booklet you can get in rest areas and Denny's
2. Brand new mini fridge and microwave
3. The carpet is clean and there is no cigarettes butts holes and such
4. The cleanliness of the room could be better, but it is OK
5. You know, you can get bed bugs in a Hilton or Fairmount hotel too.I looked anyway in my sheets and I didn't saw anything.
6.For 65$ don't expect a luxury suite...You get free parking, next to convenience stores 24h.

If you have any doubt, just ask to see the room prior to the payment !! You have nothing too loose ! From : Vincent, of Montreal
