I am having my wedding at a close by venue and it was between this hotel and the hilton suite hotel which shares the same parking lot. Geena was terrible to work with. Non responsive. Told me for a week straight that shes working on my proposal, when I finally received her email, it was all of two lines - comments on the banquet room and "sorry you only wanted 5 rooms instead of the 10 we require. Mind you- I told her we'd need 8, the block requires you to definitely purchase 5, so it was a done deal. But Ms Geena just didnt want to work. I would call her with a question, and her responses went something like "oh im running to a meeting" ,"Im working on your package now", "Will call you right back I am just doing something". Clearly this lady does not want to do her job, and I almost didnt want to work with a Hilton property after my experience with her.
MOVING ON!!! Nicole Henry with the Hilton Garden Inn Melville (this hotel) is amazing!!!! I have never even seen this property but I do not care!!! She's just been amazing with everything!!: answering all my questions, so prompt with emails, attention to the website, very professional. Such a breath of fresh air. Someone with this level of customer service really adds value to a property and I will definitely be referring her/this hotel to all my friends who will also wed in the next year.
I get that these hotels are privately owned so you never know who is running it, but Hilton should care about who represents the brand ! go nicole!
