I was traveling on my own for business using corporate lodging and was given a room at the end of a hallway with at least 5 empty rooms that were used for storage between me and the stairway. The heat wasn't working and when I ran the water to fill the tub it was brown and left a film on the tub. When I came back to my room on Saturday, there were dead deer hanging in the trees. I've never been so creeped out by anyplace in my life and was scared to sleep there.

For $91 per night @ 2 nights, the room not only emitted a strange chemical-like stench, but it was also dusty (I wrote my name in the dust on the coffee maker). Bathroom: dead flies and other matter were not cleaned up and three burnt-out vanity bulbs were not replaced. The place could use a paint job and the bathroom should be completely remodeled. A very uncomfortable visit. Never again for any America's Best [Worst?] Value Inn!

We stayed here on May 29, 2010, and the very first thing I noticed was the difficulty in finding the hotel. There is no lighting to speak of, and the sign was not lit to show where it is. I called, and the person on the other end didn't seem to be able to tell me how to get there, even though I was only 200 feet from the building. Upon checking into the room, I noticed how dark the whole surrounding area is, and that bothers me because of people always out to make trouble - they pick the darker areas! The room has poor lighting, and to top it off, the air conditioner didn't seem to work very well. Upon further examination, I found that the filter was PLUGGED very badly. Once I removed that, it was much bettter. The mattress on either bed was bery firm - almost non-giving. The real topper was the receptacle hanging out of the wall behind the nightstand. The lamp by the bed was not plugged in. I gave this information to the desk clerk, but I doubt if they will do anything to make the repairs needed. The price, to my thinking, was high for such a place. It seemed reasonably clean, although the carpet needs to be replaced and the walls could be painted.

I have to admit that the outside of the hotel isn't in the best shape. They seem to be trying to update it and are putting on a new face on the front of the hotel at the lobby area. We asked to see the room before we checked in because we were concerned with the outside appearance. The room was spotless. We had reserved a room with a king size bed. The room was huge. My husband and I travel quite a bit all over the world and it was larger than most of the rooms we've stayed in. I was also impressed that 30 minutes after we had checked into our room, someone from the front desk called our room to make sure that everything was okay. We didn't try the breakfast, but my husband went to the lobby and got me some coffee and it was good. PLUS free internet!
