“Nice stay...not fancy but comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2010

Kind of like staying at a friends home when they are away.

My wife and I had the Charles suite. Big comfortable bed on the ground floor, private bath.
We were met by Chris upon arrival around 6:30pm on friday. He gave us the lay of the land, including exclusive use of the living room (another couple was staying there but were regulars who kept to themselves in their upstairs room).

Before leaving for dinner we filled out the breakfast request form. After having dinner out, we returned and enjoyed a bottle of wine watching TV and sitting by the warm pellet stove.

The next morning we were met by Dave who was preparing our breakfast. We both had the stuffed french toast with blueberries...very good. Other options were stuffed pancakes (both had 3 or 4 different fruit choices) and a few different egg and omelet choices.

Chris and Dave try to give you as much space as you would like, moving around the house so as not to intrude...but both are friendly and happy to engage in conversation about the area, the house, or anything else.

This was a very nice alternative to staying in a typical hotel/motel and a similar prices ($100 "off-season" rates). Very clean and comfortable.

“A nice home away from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2010

Neat place with nice guys running it.... Chris and Dave will be old friends shortly after you meet them. Both have great suggestions for places to go, restaurants in the area, etc. Be sure to check their website for the details about the B&B. Dave is the morning Chef... and he does a fine job... we stayed here on the way to and from New Hampshire visiting the Hall on our first stop. We usually stay at places like a Hampton Inn, but I found the price of the best room in the house to be the same as what I would pay at the Hampton... and believe me, the breakfast, comfort, and the two guys who operate this place were far more enjoyable.... tight, but adequate parking, just off I-88 near Exit 14, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and even though you're next to a local roadway the traffic sounds were minimal. Listen to the brook, watch for the deer in the back yard, relax, and enjoy.

“so welcoming and comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2010

Just returned from a one week stay at this B and B while my son participated in the Cooperstown Dream Park Tournament. While it is a 25 minute drive to the park, it was worth it. It was very clean, comfortable and inviting. Chris and Dave were so welcoming and laid back and I had full run of the place. I used the kitchen to make some lunches, stored some of my groceries in their fridge and watched TV in their living room. While it is not fancy, it has a very warm and homey feeling to it that I felt comfortable and safe in. Breakfast is included - and Dave is the best cook!!!!!!! Made to order pancakes or eggs and fabulous fruit stuffed french toast. Fantastic. Chris, even though he is a die-hard Yankee fan, could not have been warmer. Thanks guys for everything. Go Jays!

Innkeepers could not have been more friendly, polite and caring. the breakfast was unreal! I wish someone could have Miked me up the whole time i was there so they could hear my praises!
