Kind of like staying at a friends home when they are away.
My wife and I had the Charles suite. Big comfortable bed on the ground floor, private bath.
We were met by Chris upon arrival around 6:30pm on friday. He gave us the lay of the land, including exclusive use of the living room (another couple was staying there but were regulars who kept to themselves in their upstairs room).
Before leaving for dinner we filled out the breakfast request form. After having dinner out, we returned and enjoyed a bottle of wine watching TV and sitting by the warm pellet stove.
The next morning we were met by Dave who was preparing our breakfast. We both had the stuffed french toast with blueberries...very good. Other options were stuffed pancakes (both had 3 or 4 different fruit choices) and a few different egg and omelet choices.
Chris and Dave try to give you as much space as you would like, moving around the house so as not to intrude...but both are friendly and happy to engage in conversation about the area, the house, or anything else.
This was a very nice alternative to staying in a typical hotel/motel and a similar prices ($100 "off-season" rates). Very clean and comfortable.
