My wife and I stayed at Galatia villas in October 2011. Overall a pleasant stay in a simple, clean room, and we were very well received by the hosts.

Located 15 minutes walk from the heart of Thira/ bus station - was a do-able walk but after long days were tiresome and in future would probably stay somewhere a little closer if we came back at this time of year (end of peak season and crowds were slowing down)

Otherwise the rooms themselves were very, very good value along with the continental breakfast. Bathrooms were adequate size (showers slightly small), bed mattresses were hard but didn't bother us.

If you don't mind the walk/ staying a little further out, then I would highly recommend this place, well worth it.

We stayed at Galatia Villas back in October 2011. It's well located, a few blocks from where the restaurants and night life is in Thira. We were able to fully relax and the view was gorgeous.
Clean rooms, good service, they help us get back and forth from the Santorini Airport.
I would recommend it.

A really great location, just a short walk from the centre of Thira. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay really enjoyable.

I recently stayed 3 nights in Galatia Villas and thought that the standard of the rooms and service were very good. The family was very friendly and helpful. It was a 10 to 15 min walk to the bus station which was fine even though one part going back to the bus station was a bit of a walk uphill - but it was not unmanageable. I liked the location as it was very quiet whereas some of the hotels looked like they could be quite noisy. The rooms had a DVD player and there was a good selection of DVD's in the reception which was nice. I would recommend this hotel.
