“What you see is truly what you get. Amerisa is cozy & chic!”

If you are looking for clean, modern, comfortable, and affordable with service at its best, Amerisa is the place for you. Each room has a different modern style and charm that make it perfect for any visitor. Amerisa is located in Fira, Santorini, Greece and about a 5 - 10 minute drive to the popular town of Oia. You will wake up every morning to a breathtaking view of Fira and of the blue waters of Greece. A delicious breakfast awaits at the top floor with gorgeous views as well. Peter and staff are not only pleasant, but very accommodating. He goes out of his way to ensure customer satisfaction. I suggest to book in advance. Renting a car is a good idea so as to drive through the town. It is quite easy getting around. I give Amerisa two-thumbs up!

Thank you for a wonderful experience, Amerisa*

“Sweet suite at Amerisa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2010

We stayed at the Amerisa Suites in Room 203 for two nights (August 22-23). The hotel is maintained by George, whose family owns the hotel. Peter assists George, as well.

There is complimentary pick-up and drop-off at the ferry port.

If you can stay in Room 203- do it! We loved our room. Extremely spacious with a loft where the bed was. See pictures. The room has a private balcony. The whirlpool is right outside the suite door and the pool is right outside the balcony door. The balcony looks out to the sea and city.

Breakfast is included with the stay, which is Greek with an American flair. The hotel does not provide beach towels.

As for location- the hotel is in walking distance of the center of Fira. It is about a 7-8 minute walk. George clearly explains how to get to the center- the hotel is not a direct walk out to the center.

George recommends having dinner at El Greco- do it. The food is authentic, delicious, and inexpensive.

SUGGESTION: People must assume that Fira is the best place to stay in on Santorini, but after exploring the island...check out Kalmari.

“Great Staff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 June 2010

Upon arrival we were upgraded to the suite because it wasn't peak season and there was an issue in having our original room prepared. The suite was beautiful and the balcony and hotel pool (which were both a few steps from our door) overlooked the non-caldera side of the island providing a fantastic view.

The hotel is a 7-10 minute walk from the center of Fira, which given the size of the town is slightly inconvenient, but really not a problem at all if you're in decent physical condition. Amerisa is family-owned and run and the service was without a doubt the highlight of our stay. George was fantastic in providing us with maps, directions, booking assistance for tours and transportation, and recommendations on what to see and where to eat. Note: El Greco was his recommendation on where to get traditional Greek and specifically local Santorini food. It was affordable and the food was excellent!

I had a great time here and definitely recommend it to others.

“Small establishment but well located”

After spending time on Sifnos, we travelled to Santorini which was entirely the opposite in terms of commerciality. Far more tourists as Santorini is pretty much geared to the tourist dollar. Still an unbelievably amazing sight to see buildings perched above the sea and has now been ticked off our 'bucket list'.
The Amerisa Suites were not on the caldera side however and faced towards the east, but still provided a wonderful view of neighbouring islands and was within easy walking distance of the main areas of Fira and Firostefani.
The suites were well appointed and we received an upgrade to a suite which had plenty of room with a large bathroom. Breakfast was served in a room on the top floor which caught all the morning sun and became a bit like a sauna even with blinds drawn, and was a bit minimal so far as what was offered.
However, the owner George was always willing to assist or provide advice and nothing was ever a problem. His partner, who collected us from the port on arrival, was also happy to help but was a little limited in her understanding of english (or turned around, our limited knowledge of Greek).
Santorini is a must visit place for anyone although a property with a view of the caldera would be the best place to stay, depending on the budget. Amerisa Suites is a fairly good option if you view hotel rooms as a place to sleep at night because everything is close to the property.
