Stay in this hotel on 2nd week of Oct...the room was super clean and very roomy.
The hotel just located next to local bus station, but there is no noise from the station as the room was perfectly seal once all the windows were close. Due to its proximity to bus station, this will be a great base for travelling if you do not want to rent a car/ATV bike. Bus is abt 30mins per run to almost all the Thira/santorini village or tourist area...very convinient indeed.
It is also 2 mins walk to caldera view for sunset....we sits near the Fira Museum almost everyday waiting for the sunset(unfortunately didn't catch any beautiful one, the best still in Maldives... :) ). All the shopping and local restaurants are nearby at the Fira Square and you won't be hungry...highly recommend the Naoussa Taverna and Nikolas Taverna for local greek food(reasonably price and great food).
Bus to Oia leave every 30 mins, so not a problem, but bus schedule are not really accurate and follow by the driver.
Hotel owner seem to have extensive network with his fellow local folks and able to provide free transfer from ferry port to hotel and back to port. Same goes for those flying in to Thira as well. If the owner not able to arrange transport, he even willing to give discount on your checkout for your trouble to use local bus to port. Owner is a nice guy and provide us with basic maps of the area. The tourist info office doesn't provide you free maps as we have expected, however we later found out you can easily get one from the store for ~2 Euro each(but still a bummer...).
Overall, it is a very nice stay and will highly recommend the place for any budget traveler....but you will be surprise with budget $$, you still get a very roomy room for your stay and come with bathtub... :).
We end up paying Euro 150 for 4 nite stays, what a deal indeed.
Will stay there again if i drop by in Fira.
