We were surprise to realize that Villa Roussa is located in Fira city center. It is a very good location as it is surrounded by bus station, post office, local food shops, souvenir shops (please note that one shop nearby sells wide range of souvenir in very good price), minimart, travel agency, pharmacy, and so on. Besides, Mama house (a highly recommended restaurant in Tripadvisor) is just next to this hotel.

This hotel also provides one computer with internet connected, kitchen, and TV in the basement. Hotel owner also offers pick up service from Fira port (i'm not sure about from and to the airport).

My wife and I stayed here early in July. It had clean, modest rooms. It was located very close to the main streets of Thira and close to the bus station from which you can get to all of Santorini. High speed internet was included in the room without extra charge. I think in some parts of the hotel, it is wireless internet. In our room you had to use an ethernet cable that the hotel provided. Our stay included free airport transfer. The owner seemed to be there all the time and was quite helpful.

While we thought the place was great, we had two reservations. First, it was a little more modest than we anticipated. Given the fair price, however, our anticipation was probably unjustified. Second, we ended up liking Oia better than Thira because it seemed to have nicer shops and a somewhat less touristy feel than Thira. As a result, if we were to go back, we might end up in Thira even though the Villa Roussa was very nice.

I went to Santorini with my wife and this was one of the only places in Fira that we could stay at for 50 Euro a night. It is right near the bus station and a stone's throw away from the centre where all the restaurants, bars and shops are. The owners are great and even came to pick us up from the port.
What's more, I accidentally left my iPhone in the room and they contacted me, and shipped the phone back to the US free of charge.

We stayed here for 5 nights.
Our first room on the ground floor was small, but we were given a much larger room with a good size bathroom and small private balcony. The room has a fridge so we ended up doing our own breakfast after having breakfast a few times at mama's next door. The room was kept very clean and the towels and sheet where changed daily. The location is just perfect since the bus station, shops, restaurants and the Caldera view are within 5 minutes walking. I loved the easy accessibility with heavy luggage compared to many of the hotels located down at the Caldera. We also appropriated the hotels plumbing which allows guests to flush the toilet paper (this is not common in Greece). The only minus was that the shower water as well as the wash basin water rose up from the floor drainage, if the water was run for more than a minute without pausing.
