After spending a couple of days in Athens and four days on a coach tour covering Olympia, Dephi and Meteora, my mother, brother and I landed in Satorini on November 16, 2011 where I was told, would make our short trip to Greece complete. I was given a poster of Santorini a few years ago but didn't expect the island to be as beautiful and picturesque as it seemed on it. And what made our stay even more memorable was that we were checked into the Aroma Suites Hotel in Fira. We were in fact booked into the hotel by our travel agency based on its previous credentials so needless to say, quality service and comfort were already anticipated by us.
My family was greeted by a pleasant and hospitable staff,Chris, at the airport who gave us a ride to the hotel, helped us with our luggage and even brought us on a tour of the island the following day. He also served us breakfast (the grilled cheese sandwich was super yummy!) in our rooms for three consecutive days and throughout our stay, offered us friendly advice on where to go, where to eat etc.. Our limestone cave shaped room was unlike what I have stayed at in my life; it was totally unique, quaint and cozy and came with a few kitchen amenities for easy meals indoors. The hotel premises were clean and well maintained. The balconies overlooked the beautiful blue waters and the volcano and looked out to the splendid sunset which many a traveller to Santorini expects to catch.. We were just steps to a wide broadwalk facing the sea where every spot we were at offered a picture perfect shot. Shops and restaurants abound and were all within short walking distances to the hotel. The owner of the hotel Fanis whom we got to meet gave us a warm welcome to the hotel and followed up at the end of our stay that everything had met our expectations, something you would not find in any regular hotel. Would definitely go back to Aroma Suites if I were to visit Santorini again and would highly recommend future travellers to do the same. Ping Chiu, Toronto, Canada
