Booked based on TA reviews. Don't really understand all the super positive reviews. Great pool. But the rooms and location made us feel that there were better options elsewhere. The service was ok but I wouldn't describe it as friendly. The 5 minute walk into town not a big deal. The breakfast was mediocre. For 6E you could do better in town. We had an amazing time in Santorini, but would definitely look elsewhere next.

Santorini is beautiful, without a doubt, but much more expensive than almost you expect to find. This hotel, obviously without views to the crater even other nice places, are not bad localiced (although if you think how small is the island, maybe is not very well situated..) but the thing is taht all the hotel are very old (the forniture, the fridge that makes terrible noises in different rooms all time, the floors, and everythiong. It wasn´t bad for a cheap hostel, but obviusly not for a hotel of this prizes in a copuntry as Greece.

also, the attention is not the best The owner is not the more kind man, and they offer yoju some trips that are much more expensive than in turist office and completely prescindible.

We just got back from Santorini where our daughter got married. We loved our stay at Rena's as well as the gracious and fun service provided by Panos and his lovely family. We found the location to be a perfect walk into town and all the great restaurants at every price point. The hotel was clean, the pool great and the advise and service that Panos provided was fabulous....nothing fancy just comfortable.

We would highly recommend Rena's as a great home in Fira!

While this hotel is not the fanciest place in fira, the owner, Panos, makes the stay a worthwhile event! They started a Friday monthly Greek night on the beach that turned out to be the most authentic experience we had on the island ( we were there nearly a week). George, his relative, was an amazingly good dancer, and the music was the best we've heard in Greece. Be aware that the actual rooms vary here - from spartain to nice view - all very clean - but huge variation - so try and get your specific room booked clearly. You cannot go wrong with these very honest and hard working people - if only all hotels were like this!
