We stayed in this hotel in September for 4 nights. We were driven from Port to hotel and to airport upon leaving. Katarina the receptionist is extremely helpful and nice. The room was quite small as was the bathroom but very clean with big fresh towels every day. There was a seaview with amazing sunrises. It was a short walk to the main square and not much furher to the centre of Thira. Its a very reasonable price for such a well located budget hotel by Santorini standards. The pool was lovely but there was no pool bar as was shown on website. The breakfast was fine and plentiful. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it especially for its central but quiet location.

I have stayed at the Hotel Golden Star previously and it was great. However this time it seems the hotel has aged and requires a major refurb. It is a very budget hotel, however the price you pay is not what I would call value for money. Pay extra and stay elsewhere. Unless you are on a tight budget and can handle certain cleanliness. Service was great however I mentioned something I wasn't happy with and I was impressed with the response nor the no follow up to advise the outcome. Choose the beach over the pool!! Shame cos this hotel is in a great location and was fantastic previously..

We enjoyed our stay at Golden Star, which is located in a quiet area just a few hundred metres from the main square of Thira. The hotel provided complimentary transport from the port when we arrived and to the airport when we left, good service. It’s a nice and clean hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was ok, but the only type of bread was white toasted bread and the juice (concentrate base) was not so tasty. The pool and the pool area were very good. The room was quite small, but it’s ok for a few days. Wifi connection in the room worked well.
