“Charming through and through”

Our first choice was to book Pelican, Costa Marina's sister concern. But when we reached we were glad we booked Costa Marina (CM) instead as Pelican was full. CM is just a 2 minute walk from the main market square, has the most charming backdrop, clean white architecture, just the way I had pictured a typical Greek bed and breakfast. The staff is lovely - polite, helpful and very sweet. The only drawback is it has no sea view but then that is exactly what makes it affordable when one is travelling during peak season. I thought Greece was too hot in August - June might have been a better month to visit.

Santorini is no less than one is led to believe in reviews, blogs, books et all. It is the most romantic place I have ever been too. There is art and architecture all around and the natural setting of the island is awesome. I could sit for hours just looking the sea, the tourists, shop keepers selling wares and drinking coffee. An absolute must see for those who love travel and are romantics.

“Fair”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 July 2010

I stayed here a few nights with my girlfriends and found the hotel to be ok. The rooms are clean and comfortable. This is no five star hotel but it is in the heart of town and there is tons to do (nightlife, dinning, shopping) right in walking distance of the hotel. For the amount of time we spent in our hotel room which wasn’t much as there is tons to do I found the hotel to be acceptable.

“Loved this hotel!!”

This hotel was really wonderful. It was our favorite during our stay in Greece. Located off a side street in Fira, we would wake up to the sounds of birds and church bells. It is a short uphill walk to get to the shops, restaurants, and calderra. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are spacious and charming. The breakfast is also nice. I would highly recommend this hotel.

“Quite location; helpful staff; spotless- but small baths”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 May 2010

Just returned from 3 night's stay at Costa Marina Villas in Santorini. It is just a couple of blocks off the main drag and in a really quiet spot. Our room had a view of the non-caldera side of the ocean. Small balcony with two chairs and a table. Everything was good value for the money. The bathroom was really small and the shower equipment was not great- a hand wand for the shower nozzle and no where to hang it up. The beds were not incredibly comfortable but passable. It was really quiet and the a/c in the room worked like a champ. The hotel arranged a car for us- it was delivered to the hotel, we left it at the airport, and it cost 35 Euros total for 2 days. Perfect! The staff are very friendly and conscientious. Rooms have a safe. Make sure to go to the Pelican restaurant that is owned by the same family. You get a 10% discount if you mention you are staying in the hotel. The Pelican has a beautiful wine cellar, of which we had the privelege of touring.

“Cozy and clean”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2009

This hotel had a very nice feel to it. Almost as if you were staying at a family members home. Same two people working the front desk. Could have been family members. Room was very pretty and clean. We had a great view but only downside was it was of the other side of the island. It was however very close to town and it was a easy walk from the bus with our luggage. Breakfast was the worst we had the whole trip. One hard boiled egg and a variety of bread. Not very filling and we found ourselves pretty hungry earlier then we normally eat lunch. The grounds we gorgeous. Covered with beautiful flowers. I would stay here again but would probably go for something on the other side with a good sunset view.
