The first thing you should know is the hotel is a 20 min walk uphill to the town of Oia. There is a bus stop at the corner of the hotel's road but there is no reliable schedule of when the bus will be there. We arranged, through the hotel, for a taxi to pick us up at the ferry at the cost of 25 Euro. The same driver took us to the airport at the end of our stay for same charge. The young lady that manages the hotel was very helpful and went out of her way to arrange a volcano tour and even drove us to the pickup point. She offered to run us into town if we needed but we walked. We were greeted with wine and a treat, maps and suggestions of what to do while on the island. We were in an upstairs room with a nice view of the ocean from our balcony and the town of Oia from the "balcony" area in front of the entrance to our room. The Studio is a nice size with a large bathroom. There is a small kitchen with two burners, small refrig., table & chairs. The beds were firm but there was only a twin bed and a 3/4 bed in the room. There was wifi access in the garden area. There is a small hot tub in the garden but we were the first visitors of the season and the hot tub had not been opened yet. To be honest we would probably choose to stay in the town of Oia if we visited again but only because of the location of the Ecoxenia. If it were located in the town we would stay there again.
