We stayed at Alta Mare in early September and it was wonderful. Service was impeccable, above and beyond what we expected, starting with the bellboy all the way to the manager. Demetri, the manager, was highly accommodating and extremely knowledgeable, all of his suggestions were excellent. Our studio, Ios, was very spacious and had a lovely balcony. Bathroom was functional, maybe a bit small, but I guess that might be room dependent, our friends stayed in a suite and had a spacious bathroom. Two things stand out about Alta Mare, breakfast terrace with an amazing view and its location. Location is truly perfect, a few steps away from the main promenade and few minutes walk to all of Oia's attractions. It is also very reasonably priced for Oia. I would definitely recommend this place, and look forward to staying there again.

Alta Mare certainly delivers in every sense. My husband and I had the pleasure of staying during our summer trip through the Greek Islands. Santorini is always a highlight - we met there and have been back many times.
We had never stayed in Oia before but decided on something different and we couldn't have made a better choice.
The views from Alta Mare are sensational in fact I have 200 photos to prove it. The Calderra is magical in every light.....
The staff are very attentive, the rooms extremely comfortable and clean and the facilities in general excellent.
Alta Mare is also perfectly located - close to fabulous restaurants, the best sun set view and the wonderful little village of Oia itself.
If you prefer something picturesque and romantic Oia is your destination.....

We stayed here in first week of September as part of our honeymoon.....what an amazing experience! The most beautiful setting and location, even more beautiful hotel. The staff are simply fantastic, nothing is too much trouble! The breakfast was sensational, especially the Caviar ! My wife and I can not fault any aspect of this place, not even a nit pick! We will be staying here again if its the last thing we ever do.....

My wife and I visited the hotel Alta mare in Ia. We arrived the first week of September. Everything about alta mare was amazing! We arrived and were greeted by the owner - who is just lovely. We booked one of the best looking room i had ever seen - not knowing what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised; it was roomy, clean and beautifully decorated. We stayed three nights. Spent our afternoons at the pool where the staff bring you coffees and fruits - which were delicious. The breakfast area overlooks the coastline - AMAZING! We had great suggestions from the staff on where to have meals and what sort of activities to do - We truly loved alta mare! I hope we can make it back soon!!!
