Situated just at entrance to pedestrianised area of Oia, it doesn't have a caldera view but this hotel is a great option if you don't want to spend BIG bucks and still overnight in Oia. Great pool, great service, perfect location, lovely food. What more could you want for the money

I don't think I could say enough good things about this hotel. It was wonderful! We were traveling on our honeymoon, so obviously one of the cave houses was out of question budget-wise. But Laokasti is right across the street, for a FRACTION of the cost. Oia is by far the best place to stay in Santorini. It is quaint and the view is to die for (keep in mind, Laokasti does not have the caldera view, but if you walk out the front of it, walk feet straight ahead, you're looking at it). Our room was very clean (they cleaned it each day). The breakfast was wonderful. And the service could not have been better. Vicky was so helpful in arranging a catarmaran tour for us, telling us about the best restaurants, and renting us a car. The pool was very nice, but cold! Also, I think our A/C was broken in our suite. I'm confident they would've fixed it, but we didn't realize it wasn't working until the last day :). It was wonderful, and more than met our expectations. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Overall our stay was great. The hotel is just on the edge of Oia, so you get to be in town without paying for the Caldera view. The rooms are everything you need, but not much more, and clean. They are small, and don't expect luxury, but a good deal. The staff is helpful for figuring out logistics, and hospitable. Breakfast isn't really worth getting included in the room. The restaurant is worth checking out even if you don't stay here.

I regret choosing LV for our vacation. I was lured by the positive reviews, the pictures of the large pool, and the reasonable price. My husband and I don’t require luxury hotels when traveling in Europe since we would rather spend our $ on food and activities, but we do require the hotel to be clean. The bathroom- especially the shower- was nasty. Moldy, smelly, chipped tiles and the shower didn’t drain well. The bed was not ideal either with the platform right up against the wall. Also, we thought the selection at breakfast was weak given that the restaurant is given such high marks. We only had lunch at the pool which was tasty.

In hindsight we should have spent a little more and upgraded to a (clean) hotel with a caldera view since that is what Oia is all about.
