This was by far the best destination in Greece to share with your boyfriend, husband or best friend! The food was delicious, the sunsets were indescribable and the people were fantastic. You can shop and eat seafood all day long, walk between Fira and Oia on a cool morning, watch the sunset while sipping wine and then continue shopping way into the night! I would recommend staying at least 2 nights and also doing the volcano excursion. Stay at Nikko's villas - their pool is beautiful and actually where I got engaged! Nikko is super friendly and his assistant speaks at least 4 languages! I will forever love Santorini.

Old world Charm! Not your mordern sleek boutique, so if you don,t expect that you'll be happy here. The view is excellent from everywhere, the walk to town on the back path takes only a few minutes. We found the town of Qia, a much better choice to stay then Fira, But Fira was fun to visit. Nikos was very charming and helpful! Anything you need, car, restaurant, beach Nikos had a friend! You need to rent a car!

We styed 2 weeks an Nikos Villas in a very nice and very large room (cave). The view was extraordinary. The cleaning staff made a very good job and the german woman at the reception was very friendly and helpful. We did not have a lot of contact with Niko, but sometimes we heard him talking to his employees and that sounded sometimes quite rude..... But really the only thing we disliked was the breakfast. It might be o.k. if you get the same breakfast everey day when you stay there just a couple of days. So we got the same breakfast for two weeks (same bread, same cheese, same jam, and even the same eggs......). As we asked for a change, no chance..... sorry but this is not for star....
Well anyway we made our time at Nikos Villas very comfortable and enyoied every minute.

Niko's treated my husband and I very well. He upgraded us to a suite when he learned we were on our honeymoon. He even offerred us a glass of his own wine to toast us.
Our room was fantastic. It was a cliffside cave room down a few steps from the pool area which was exactly what we wanted - privacy with a spectacular view. Our room had a kitchenette / daybed area with a seperate bedroom and bathroom. Off the bedroom we had a private balcony that overlooked the caldera. All we could see from the balcony (and from the bed) was blue sky and water. We were very happy with our room.
The pool was wonderful and refreshing and the location of the hotel was perfect for us. We were not right in the heart of Oia which meant we needed to walk 5 minutes down a lovely stone path to the center of Oia to the restaurants - something I found added to the romance of an already incredibly romantic place.
All in all a wonderful honeymoon!!!!
