We started out our 2 week Honeymoon at Canaves Oia Hotel and we couldn't have picked a better spot to start. When the taxi dropped us off and we saw the Hotel perched on the side of the cliff with the most beautiful view imaginable, we knew we were in for something special. We were greeted by a very very kind staff and right away they made us feel special. They upgraded our room to a Honeymoon Suite at no charge which we thought was so kind. They sent us down to the pool for a complimentary drink to take in the view which was much appreciated after the travel. They then came and got us and walked us to our room where our bags were already waiting as well as a complimentary bottle of wine to start the celebration. The room it's self was so so amazing. The view looked out onto the bluest water we'd ever seen and we could see the whole side of the island from our patio. It felt like we were literally in the postcard photo's we'd always see of Santorini. The Hotel is in the perfect walking distance to the main part of Oia. It's just before the start of the shops so it's nice that you don't open your door and have hundreds of tourist walking by. A 1 minute walk or less and we were right at the start of all the restaurants and all the shops. Location couldn't have been better. We had just missed the peak season so the complimentary breakfast was brought to our room every morning and it literally was one of the best parts of our day. We could choose whatever we wanted off the menu and it was brought up and spread out on our patio table very elegantly. The staff could not have been kinder and the food couldn't have been tastier. Now back to the room, we could see the sunrise every morning (and we're not morning people but too tempting not to) over the island to our east and could see it set every night to our west from our patio! We could see the cruise ships come in each morning and slowly cruise out on their way to their next port. Our patio had a small breakfast table with chairs off the bedroom and a larger patio with 2 lounge chairs and a jacuzzi! It was just amazing. It also had a large living room and 2 full bathrooms. It really felt 5 star all the way. The concierge service was outstanding as well. They were very knowledgeable and seemed genuinely eager to help whenever we needed it. We look forward to having a Honeymoon repeat in 5 years and this is one Hotel we plan to visit again. We would recommend it to anyone who plans to spend the night on Santorini.

We have read good reviews about this hotel but never expected to have such an experience in this hotel. The service was so efficient, everyone was so polite and ready to help, the room was very clean and so well decorated..Me and my fiancee loved the pool bar at Canaves Oia!!!

This hotel was absolutely gorgeous. The staff was attentive and helpful. If you are looking for a quiet, romantic getaway...look no further. Close to great shopping, restaurants and the most jaw dropping sunset spot on earth. Would go back there in a second.

The hotel is great, we were upgraded to a better and more spacious room with no extra charge.The staff was extremely friendly..we had some situation with our ferry tickets to Mykonos and they dealt with that and helped us a lot. I will recommend it to our friends for sure!
