Stayed here on a tour of France and agree with the previous two reviews. I also stayed in room 10 and it was fabulous. The staff and hosts are friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic. Room 10 is more expensive than the average, but worth it. It's ideally placed for Nevers and Magny Cours

I have stayed several times at this beautiful chateau in the heart of the French country side. The service and hospitality is excellent. Pierre is a first class host. The staff is friendly and polite. Food is extraordinary. The rooms have all been renovated and are comfortable and beautiful. This is a wonderful place to stay if you are in this part of the country.

Our stay this year at Ygrande (we were determined to return there) was even better.

About a week before we were due to set off, Monsieur Tissier, the owner, telephoned to let us know that, on our last night there, the rest of the rooms were booked by a big family party. And on one evening, there would be a dinner for a party of racing drivers. If we wanted to change the dates, that would be fine.
We decided to stick with the dates. A little excitement beckoned.
M. Tissier gave us the best room (Room 10) which is enormous and like Marie Antoinette's boudoir. The bathroom, too, is enormous, all marble, apart from one long wall which is entirely mirrors. He also offered to serve dinner there if the family party caused us to feel uncomfortable.

They were great - they had a Murder Mystery Weekend -
And our stay was absolutely great, too.

I simply cannot speak too highly of this place.
