We stayed in this guesthouse as part of a tailormade trip with the H.E.L.P charity, which enabled us to visit local Diola villages, boat down the bolongs and meet local people as well as take part in a 'solidarity action' with a local family in need. I would recommend staying here as part of a trip, which can be arranged for a few days or weeks.
The guesthouse rooms are quite basic but are a decent size with comfortable beds and fans and a private bathroom (no hot water). The guesthouse manager and chef is very welcoming and an excellent cook and there are lots of communal areas, including a quiet garden and lounge area - see the photos on the Lonely Planet booking service.
