My husband and I were surprised to find this amazing (and reasonable!) gem of a tapas bar in the quaint town of North Creek. Since we were hungry when we arrived in town mid-afternoon on 12/31/11, we stopped in to hook up with friends/grab something to eat/drink since our dinner reservation at another restaurant wasn't until 8PM (yes -- we ate again!). While we were disappointed that we had to wait until 5PM to order food, it was well worth the wait and we were happy to indulge in the fabulous selection of 100 wines and 30 beers. The co-owner, Mike, was so friendly and knowledgeable -- and gladly steered us around the menu. The food was delicious. We tried the coconut fried shrimp, Thai style beef skewers (yummy!), curried chickpea fritters and mussels with green curry, lime and cilantro (to die for!). We loved the place so much that we went back the next night for seconds! While we ordered some of the same dishes, we also tried the abbey ale/spinach/bacon mussels (good, but we liked the curry ones better -- make sure you save the sauce to dip your bread in!), olives, frites, gnocchi, antipasto and beef brisket sandwich. This is a great place to go with a group so you can try a bunch of different small bites. The salads and top sirloin steak looked great too -- something you should order if you don't want to share. Don't miss the adjacent wine store. Many thanks and best wishes for much success to Mike, Jeremy, Patrick and, of course, the phenomenal chef and rest of the wonderful staff!
