“Worst Vacation Trip to Niagara Falls”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

The Hotel in Niagara New York was a mediocre spot to go. The outside of the building looked rather run down and out dated and there weren't very many parking spots within relative walking distance to the front door. The lobby of the Hotel was modern and looked fairly nice for the amount of money you spent but it could have been a lot better. The room was fairly nice, my mother and I weren't too concerned about the look as much as the comfort. The sheets were clean and the pillows were nice but the mattress felt old and I woke up with pain in my lower back. If you’re staying there try to keep your curtains closed because the view is of a rundown city of pavement. The only good part of the Hotel is that you’re relatively close to the casino and the Falls. If you’re bored and want to head into downtown Niagara; don't. The city is living 30 years in the past and there is very little parking. There were a few good Restaurants in town but most of them were old, greasy pizzerias. The trip to Niagara sure was a memorable one, but for all the wrong reasons.

Free parking is a complimentary amenity we offer to all of our guests. Parking spots are located in the front, and on the side of the building. We also offer comfortable Sealy mattresses which have just recently been put into our guest rooms. The city of Niagara Falls is a wonderful place to visit! We have the oldest state park in the nation, and many activities to enjoy the natural surroundings. The world famous Maid of the Mist is only a 5 minute walk from our building, The Seneca Niagara Casino is also only a 5 minute walk, and you can access 10 delicious local restaurants within walking!

“Large standard hotel room, neat and clean.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Niagara Falls for one night in December in a King Bed Leisure room. The hotel room was a large standard hotel room, neat and clean. Walking distance to the American side of the falls.

“Great for families!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

I have stayed here many years ago but since new ownership took over a few years back they have really done a great job with making this property the best destination close to the falls for families. Me and my family stayed there for a week and you have everything you could want out of a hotel. Pool, Game Room, Restaurant, Snack Shop and Updated Spacious rooms with comfortable beds, flat screen tv's (which to me every hotel should have)....if they cant afford a flat screen tv, then what else are they skimping on...think about it).
Plus with the convenience of being so close to the falls and the casino and the border for our walk over to Canada...you can't ask for anything more. The only think i would recommend to them is to update the exercise room....they still had old equipment but since i was on vacation i wasn't planning on working out anyway...lol.
Oh ya...great staff at the front desk and the restaurant food was really good!

Room Tip: get the side not facing the parking lot...

“An Average property , but thriving with good staffers.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

There is nothing great to report. Try this place when nothing better is available. This hotel is existing because of it is employees. Mr. Andy at reception desk had a done a great job in checking us in when many customers are waiting to get his attention on many counts. Another case of good employee response was when we found out that our coffee machine is faulty that too at 6.30 am of a cold winter morning. We reported to the Customer care and within 2 minutes, to our surprise, a technician knocking at our door. He tried his best to repair, went running out and came back with a new machine within 3 -5minutes. We felt happy and came to the conclusion that this property is surviving because of its employees.
Rooms are ok. Corridors are stinking with nicotine, even though we stayed in a non smoking zone. Carpets need to be thrown off. The 4th floor corridor door closes with a bang and was sufficient to give us sleeplessness.. We stayed near a corner room where ice vending machine is, and this noisy vending every time was good enough to wake us up if we sleeping by any chance. Being holiday season there were student groups and our floor was vibrant till 3 am in the morning. Swimming pool traffic is through the lobby and that is telling up on the lobby floors

Room Tip: Avoid rooms near the vending machines in each floor also near doors of the corridor.

Since December 2011, we have made many renovations to our floors and in the common areas of our hotel. We have thrown away all old carpeting on the floors and made modifications to our hallways and lobby area. In regard to the slamming doors, we have replaced every door moulding during our renovations to make sure they all close quietly and properly. If you visit our property now, since our renovations have been completed, you will be delighted by our refreshed appearance.

“We very much enjoyed our visit to this hotel, the ENTIRE staff was wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

Our family stayed at the hotel in December and found many updates to the property. The location to the falls is wonderful, we walked and it took a little over five minutes. It is also within walking distance to local restaurants and bars. The staff was very, very friendly and helpful which is definitely very important! We highly recommend this property, a must see!
