I was arriving for a night because I was going to stay at another hotel but they were booked(just being honest). I was going to be waiting for my significant other. I arrived there and Dahiana was the most pleasant and friendly person! I was so travel weary but she was so informitave and helpful. I am not from the area of course and she was very knowledgable. She made me feel so much at home. I was there when the earthquake came and even though I didnt feel it, the relationship we built across the front desk made me calm when phone services failed and I couldnt reach family. I knew she would offer the services I needed. The room was clean and comfortable and she made sure of it. Hskpng is wonderful there and I couldnt ask for anything more. A hotel is exactly that-a hotel. Its the people employed there that makes a guest feel welcomed and at home. Its Dahiana that would make me have this place as my first choice. I felt like she wasnt just a front desk agent but a friend and when you visit you always want to go where friends are! I dont mean to go on and on but she was that fantastic!

we stay 5 nights. 2 adults 3 children 1 room.
Sincerely, we appreciated the help we founded at the front desk. (parking coupons, directions...)
The hotel is 45 mns to Manhattan but so cheap !!!!! and convenient.
If you have a car, a GPS, and you want to enjoy New-york City this is a good place to be !!!

Do not hesitate ... save money

Stayed there for 10 days with my family and 2 friends of my daughters, 2 rooms with an a connecting door, rooms were just fine, and staff was very accomodating. have recommended this hotel to friends.

I found this hotel on the net and booked 4 rooms for a weekend as we had a friend's wedding nearby, and our whole family was invited. All four rooms were nicely appointed, spotlessly clean, and had a frig and coffee maker. The continental breakfast offered was good and included fresh bread and bagels, a waffle maker, cereal, fruit, donuts, juice, milk, coffee and tea. But the front desk staff was its best feature. They were friendly and helpful, both in giving directions, and find required services nearby. The hotel is very conviently located right off the New York Thruway, and there is lots of shopping nearby. The pool was clean and looked nice, although we did not have time to try it. My only complaint is that they don't answer their email, and I finally had to call the hotel to ask a question when I was booking. The Day Inn Nanuet was excellent value for the money and we would happily stay there again.
