I stayed at the Mead-Tooker, spring 2005. The Inn was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We didn't want to leave. The inn-keeper, Nancy, was very accomadating and looked to our every need. I hear now that as of June of 2005 the Mead-Tooker has new owners, that might be the problem in that last post.

My wife and I frequently stay in B&Bs, and were looking forward to staying here based on their website photos, description and reviews. However, the Inn fell far short. Our room ($200/night) was cheaply furnished with mixed period pieces including white wicker furniture and high hat lighting. The parlor was uninviting and lacked any current reading material. Breakfast was adequate, but condiments such as sugar and salt had to be requested. The highly recommended restaurant next door was equally disappointing. Despite this, the town itself is quiet, quaint and attractive.

Had a wonderful time at the Mead-Tooker House. The innkeeper was so nice and a wonderful source of local information and information on where to dine.

During the Thanksgiving Holiday I needed 3 rooms to accommodate out of town family members. I booked them into the historic Mead Tooker House B&B in the Village of Montgomery. Nancy Michaels, the owner, was very hospitable and gracious and treated my family as she would her own. This was their first stay at a b&b. She put them greatly at ease and treated them as royalty. Each room was comfortable and exquisitely furnished. Breakfast was a sumptuous affair. My family left with a memorable holiday visit and are looking forward to returning, especially to stay at the Mead Tooker House. Nancy, thank you so much. I highly recommend the Mead Tooker House B&B for anyone's visit to the Hudson Valley, NY.
