It was the perfect place for a nice sunny and mild fall week-end to discover Montauk.
The temperature was so mild, we slept with the windows open all week-end and enjoyed the sound from the waves!

We stayed at the Ocean Beach Resort on Nov 18, 2011. The room was very old, smelly and dirty. I travel quite a bit and had not seen rooms like this one since the 1960s. The bedspread was old, faded and appeared dirty. There was a piece of wood used to hold the sliding door closed because the lock was broken. The vertical blind was missing a slat. We had a Queen size bed with an old beat up mattress and the sheets had been slept on. We found hair on the pillowcases and sheets. We paid $85 and enjoyed being on the beach. However, the place was loud and noisy as the walls were paper thin. The location of this Motel is super. I would suggest they do some renovation and invest in larger beds with clean bedding and spreads. New bathrooms are definitely needed.

This motel has a 5 star location right on the ocean a short walk from town. The down side is that it badly needs to be remodeled. We had a beautiful view from our second floor balcony and for us that made the stay perfect! The furnishings are in very poor condition, the tv is old and small and the bathroom door was water damaged. The good news is that it was clean and the staff at the front desk are nice. We were told the owners were meeting while we were there to decide on remodeling. I hope they do as I would love to return and stay there again because of the location. If you go, I suggest a second floor oceanfront room for privacy and the view. And make sure you walk a few blocks to eat a delicious dinner at Harvest. For treats and breakfast to go, the Montauk Bake Shop down the block is amazing!

Staff is great and very friendly. The view is awesome, especially from the second floor rooms.

The rooms are OK. They are still appear to be refurbishing them so some of the paint or wallpaper could use a refresh. But that said the rooms are comfortable
