Number 9 has great food and a nice atmosphere. The service was excellent. The area really needs Number 9, Millerton is lucky.

We did not know what to expect but found a restaurant infused with charming atmosphere, terrific food and extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. The red wine, an inexpensive Minervois from Langedoc was superb and along with the fine dishes we expected was the best hamburger in New York. We had a great time -

This smart new restaurant is a terrific addition to the dining scene in the Millerton area of upstate New York. Opened in early November 2009, it features a young chef with world-class credentials at establishments such as La Caravalle and Wallse in New York City.

The restaurant is located in a warm, well designed space with the Simmons Way Village Inn on Main Street in Millerton. The menu is not extensive but the quality and execution are excellent. For our first visit, the Weinschnitzel was incomparable. So few chefs can execute a dish so crisply, and with such precision. We will come back again and again as this dish alone indicates that this is a chef who is going to inspire for years to come.

In sum, No. 9 is an outsanding addition to the many attractions of Millerton, NY. I would heartily recommend it to anyone in search of a great meal upstate, and I would encourage making a reservation as word seems to be getting out.
