Stayed here for 2 nights because it was convenient for what I was in town for. I lived in Middletown for almost 10yrs so was aware of the riff raff that goes on at this hotel (motel). When we had arrived there were 3 Wallkill police cars at the entrance doors. As we were walking to the lobby door we saw an empty glass liquor bottle in a paperback on the ground. When we walked in we were greeted by the front desk clerk who was very friendly and nice. During the check in process there were 4 cops in the lobby talking to a man that was sitting down in a chair. I took my key and proceeded to the 2nd floor. The room was freezing when we walked in so turned the heat up to 85. The room was fairly clean besides the big burn hole in the comforter on the bed. When I went to use the safe it was locked and I was unable to get it open. I called the front desk that sent up a housekeeper supervisor, who had to come back because the safe was locked for 12minutes. She came back about 30minutes later and with the assistance of two maintenance guys she couldn’t get it open. Told her it wasn’t that deep and I was already frustrated. If you choose to make coffee in the room invest in some creamer and bring your own hair dryer. Staying here was a comedy show for me as I knew what to expect and it just solidifies my reason for moving out of Middletown, NY!.
