I booked a 3 nite stay via Priceline. I normally get the Hilton Garden Inn and for the first time was assigned this hotel. When I read some of the reviews, I had serious buyer's remorse and told my husband if the hotel smells or is dirty, I am changing hotels and losing my priceline money. As others have said the common area, pool, fitness are all lovely and sparkling clean, I found the front desk staff always agreeable and friendly, they sent up a microwave and fridge. When I got to the room, I literally tore the sheets and bedding off each bed to make sure there were no bugs, checking crevices--it was actually immaculate. The rooms are about 2 decades outdated in furnishings/ambience but my room was clean and smelled clean (non smoking). The rug was outdated but certainly clean. Bathroom was well stocked with towels and products. There is a coffee maker--I wish it was a bit stronger brew.
Temperature control was fine, we were comfy.
We did not hear other room or hallway noise. I think with renovated rooms in 2012, this will be an excellent Hilton. The parking lot was well lit, I had no fear walking in it or leaving my car with out of state plates. This is an adequate, clean, friendly hotel. You do pay for internet access. I have gold status so it was free and I found the speeds fine for connecting to my office network. I think some of the reviews here and on yelp are way way too harsh.
