We stayed for one night in October. We had just returned from a long flight and we were looking forward to a good night's sleep. We arrived at the Holiday Inn around 9 pm, registered and went immediately to our room. When we opened the door we noticed that the garbage can was full, there was a wet towel in the bathroom, and that the money left for the housekeeping staff was still on the desk. We reported the situation to the front desk and they were very helpful. They did give us the only room available. More importantly, we also noticed that the hallways and the two rooms we did see had a very strong smell of some kind of deodorizer (found that very unpleasant). We would not stay there again because of the "aroma".

We stayed there during the power outage in Nov. 2011, so most hotels in the area were very full, and hence expensive. This was less expensive than most. And it was fairly new, with a nice clean room and friendly staff. Breakfast (included in price) was standard stuff.

Recently stayed at this hotel for three nights, and was very favorably impressed on all accounts. Desk personnel were very helpful and friendly, accommodations were clean, comfortable, plenty of parking, good WIFI connection.Despite its location on a busy road, the room was well soundproofed and very quiet. Breakfast was pretty good. This hotel met all our expectations and we plan to stay there again on our next trip to Long Island.

We were in town for a funeral, and relatives recommended this facility based on location.
It is located on a busy street, but we were in first floor rooms in the front of the hotel, and we not disturbed *at all*. The area appeared safe/clean, and was very convenient to Long Island Railroad locations and JFK airport.

The folks at the hotel could not have been nicer! Tiana was a gem and helped me coordinate three rooms at the best possible rate. [ She was off when we arrived, and even called my number to see if everything went well! You just don't expect that kind of service, but it was surely appreciated. Kelly was so accommodating when we checked in. She arranged for the rooms to be in the same area of the hotel.

The rooms were clean and well maintained. The sheets and bedding were a high quality, and everything was in good repair.

The breakfast was well stocked. The hot items were microwave-type items (eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, hot cakes) but they also had some healthy/fresh options, too - - hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal/milk, breads/muffins, peanut butter/jelly, oatmeal. There was also a selection of juices and coffee.

This hotel fit our needs perfectly. We slept well, had a convenient breakfast and were off to spend time with our family.

Pricing was higher than I'm accustomed to for this brand, but appeared to be on par for the geographic area. If you can get a competitiive rate for this location, I recommend it!

NOTE: They do not have a hotel gym/pool, however, if this is important to you...they have an arrangement with a Bally's fitness center that is within walking distance (across the street).
