This place is a dump. The room has a hole in the wall and rotting meat on the carpet... Elevator wabbles left and right and the bathtub plumbing is loose... Worst place ever and will never recc. To anyone..Walls are very thin and you can hear people talking in the next room and beyond...very clearly...a's if they are in your own room.

Beds are wonderful wasn't worth 150 a night but location was great. Probably was nice when it opened. Could use some updates

We recently stayed at The Northwoods Inn, Lake Placid for a weekend of "leaf peeping". The hotel is centrally located in Lake Placid, which makes The Northwoods Inn a great place to stay. Friendly staff from the moment you walk through the door. There is a restaurant and bar on site. Great food at a great price. The "hog wings" were a favorite of our group! I would definitely recommend for the price!

My stay at the Northwoods Inn was extremely pleasant. The hotel is centrally located, the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, the view on the lake side is breathtakingly beautiful, the rates are reasonable and the management and the entire staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. I look forward to staying there again.
