I just returned from a 3-day weekend at the Lake Placid Lodge. My family and I had an incredible time, and we think it's an amazing place! In our view, it has a magical quality – where the setting, the atmosphere, the food, and the people all blend together to help guests like us create very special memories. We enjoyed some of the great things Lake Placid has to offer while we were there (skiing, skating, events in town) -- and the Lake Placid Lodge staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great time (even setting up a cooking class with the pastry chef one morning). We really loved our time there, and I hope to return as a family in the future!!!

For me Lake Placid Lodge could be my home away from home. They have all the different senses addressed and more. I don't know where to start. The location is beautiful, the food absolutely wonderful and at breakfast you can everything on the menu so you can try it all. We loved their Hot Choc and our last morning they gave us a package of it with instructions on how they make it. I am an Interior Designer and I wouldn't change a thing about the Lodge plus I collected a few ideas. The staff is wonderful, so friendly, informative, helpful and proud of their Lodge.
They have a wonderful Golden Retriever who literally takes you on walks through the woods...stops at each fork in the road to make sure you know which way to go. They have a wonderful Hacker Boat that goes out each day for tours of the lake free of charge. The rooms are an Adirondack version of Ralph Lauren. None of the rooms are a like and they are so inviting.
We travel all over the world and my favorite place to go back to is Lake Placid Lodge which we visited in early Spring for the first time this year.

We have vacationed at Lake Placid Lodge for the last two summers. We were so happy to return last year knowing we were headed to a beautiful setting with outstanding service and a cozy cabin. All of our expectations were surpassed from the moment we arrived on the property, to the upgraded cabin we were offered and to the culinary skills of their chef. This is for sure one of the places we will return again and again. The lodge has nearby golf, hiking trails, kayaking, canoeing and a beach area. Although, I would recommend this place more for adults than children, there are local attractions and activities. The staff's so helpful and will graciously recommend dining spots off property as well as area day trips(if that's your thing). Lake Placid Lodge is high end but to us worth every penny.

LPL is Amazing, Best bar mixologist, Child friendly (at the designated times) Decorated perfectly, Excellent staff, Full blown service, Gorgeous, Hikes through snow covered woods, Irresitable, Just what you want, Kind, Lakeside, Mountainside, Nostalgic, Overwhelming, Pet friendly(for a fee) Quiet nooks, Rustic, Stupendous, Timeless, Unique, Visually stimulating,Wish I could stay, X-ceptional Yippee!!!!
