“Nice for the price in the off season”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2011

The price is not bad if you get a room there in the off season, plus you are close to the town and the lake. Some hotel rooms were updated not to long ago and that helps give it a modern touch. The overall polynesian feel was obvious in the lobby and bar area but not in the rooms. Overall a nice place to stay, clean and semi-modern. The only negative would be the mattresses, they could be replaced.

“Midweek get away.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 October 2011

When we arrived at the Tiki Resort we were told our room was not ready yet as the house keeping crew had not gotten back to them yet. We had called while traveling on the North Way going there and were told the room would be ready. The woman at the front desk was very nice and took my phone number and promised to call us when the room was available.
We then drove into town and looked around and something to eat. About 45 minutes later I received our room call so we went back and checked in.
We had a room on the ground floor by the back parking lot about midway down the building. We had a queen suite with a pull out couch so we could accomidate our three children and my wife and myself. The room itself was very roomy and comfortable we just didn't care for the packing tape that was holding wall paper up or the jaccusi tube that didnt work because of a broken drain that wouldn't open.
When I went to inquire about the polynesian show I was told that we had to sign up to give them a count for the cook and wasn't given a price until I came back with a final count when told it was $45 a person I cancelled. We felt there are so many fantastic restaurants in the area that we would rather go out for the night.
The house keeping staff was fantastic with all our needs, extra towels, coming back to do the room, etc.
The Tiki is a left over from the 1960's that does need alot of work to bring it up to 2000 standards but
over all Tiki Resort was good for our mid week get away the week of July 4th, 2011.

“Summer 2011”

I, my husband and three sons stayed in one room, it was roomy enough to fit us. I was excited to go there based on their website, however I was disappointed with the pool it wasn't that deep 3' feet if that and was in poor condition. The room was clean and the service was decent but no elevator. If you are going there just for a place to sleep it will do otherwise don't bother because the pool and rec area was a disappointment.

“Unexpected stay with good results”

We stayed here unexpectedly for two nights in August 2011 after Hurricane Irene made it impossible to stay at our campgrounds. I booked the room at the last minute on Expedia for $100 per night. Friendly staff at check in and we were given a coupon for a free drink at the bar. I was pleasantly surprised by the room. Very clean and had obviously been re-done recently. New linens, mahogany bath vanity, marble like shower/bath surround and new fixtures. The floor is all ceramic tile. Mini stainless steel mini fridge hidden in a cabinet was large enough to hold plenty of stuff. Two double beds, small table and chairs, dresser and cabinet holding the fridge. In room safe. The room was cleaned well each day (Thank you Maria!). The entire town and the surrounding area lost power on our second night's stay, but we didn't mind. Had fun sitting outside under the awning in the plastic lawn chairs provided and watching the storm happen. We did not use either pool due to the weather, but both seemed nice. Kids played on the small playground when it dried out. Located within walking distance of town and just a few minutes drive from Great Escapes. Although we prefer camping when visiting Lake George, I wouldn't hesitate to book this place again if ever needed.

“Not bad, great location”

Actually still here leaving tomorrow morning. While the tiki resort is a hawaian theme hotel up in the adorondicks I can't really review that aspect of it because I did not see the polynesian show or even go to the lobby. What I can say that it is a decent enough hotel the rooms are very nice our room had two full beds and we shared a room with another couple. the room included a refrigerator which is always a plus my only fault with the room was the fan in the bathroom whch was very loud but besides that it was fine. The room was cleaned every day and towels were replaced, we had four in our room and they were always changed. The pool is a nice size and opened till dusk. The set part of the hotel is it's location it is short walk to the village of lake George around ten minutes on the very same street where alllk the shops are.
