We had a great time at the Lake Crest Inn! I have been going up to Lake George for the past three years with friends and this is the first time we stayed at Lake Crest. I can honestly say that this is the best hotel in Lake George and it had everything we were looking for! The service here was excellent and very responsive to all of our requests. Our room had a gorgeous view of the lake! We also really enjoyed the pool and beach all week. Also, the breakfast restaurant located within the hotel had great food. We ate their every morning of our stay! I would recommend Lake Crest to anyone looking for a great week in Lake George!

For the past four years a group of us with our wives have been staying at the Lake Crest Inn when we go to Saratoga for the horse races. This year was no exception, as usual the rooms were clean, the service was great and all of the employees made sure we were taken care of. We will be staying at the Lake Crest Inn next year also. Pauline was very helpful when I contacted her about reserving 15 rooms for our group. When we checked in everything was taken care of. Thanks again Pauline, as usual you and your staff made us feel at home.

Our room seemed as if no one had yet stayed there this season. We found a hugh cob web dangling from the ceiling near the bed. The bathtub had a ring of encrusted dirty scum. The room smelled very musty. The airconditioner and small refrigerator were unplugged. The room had not been dusted for a while. Both desk clerks were very friendly. However, when I said something about our room needing attention the clerk had me write a note making indications that the cleaning crew may think she makes things up. The cleaning crew came immediately and they were polite. They took care of the two problems but the room never did get a good cleaning,(dusting). My daughter and I took a walk around on Sunday afternoon noticing many draperies pulled open where other families had vacated. Most rooms looked tastefully decorated, much nicer than ours. Ours was in dire need of updating, fresh paint, new sheets and bed ansemble would help. Most of the rooms we saw (and there were plenty) had not been done up, no cleaning crew in sight, the beds weren't made and such. We took another walk down to the lake that evening and saw that not much had been done that day. The rooms were still messy. The lake side rooms seemed more inviting, nice view. I didn't think to ask to be relocated. Might not have been accommodated since NO Vacancy sign was lit when we returned Saturday evening. The may have for Sunday night.
