I was there with my son in cottage 1 and the floor in the bathroom was always wet and the carpet on one side of the room. By the 3th night we could not stand the mildew smell and saw the lady who ran the place. She went in the room and said she did not know their was a problem. I found that hard to believe but did not argue with her. She did give us another room which was much cleaner

We have stayed here every year for the past 4 years, and it is terrific!
Simple, clean, warm/cool enough, reasonable rates and a great shower! Nicole the owner is helpful and accomodating. We will stay here every year we attend Americade, and we are bringing some friends next year!

1.Rude old french woman, seemed like she was constantly keeping an eye on what you're doing outside. Definitely not a people person.
2. Rooms smelled horrible(mold,mildew),a lot of bugs in the room due to the 3/4 inch gap at the bottom of the door. The bed was very lumpy, lousy internet connection even when I was by the main office, internet in the room was non existent.

I have been to the Lake George area quite a few times, at different locations that are comparable in this price range and haven't been disappointed. I was very disappointed staying here, I'm upset that I didn't do my home work on this place a little more than just looking at the website pictures that this place has, fortunately I found this website that some one recommended to me while I was there, I won't be fooled again.

We had never before seen the King Hendrick and booked our rooms during Americade based on it's affordability. Let's face it, when campgrounds are getting $40.00 a day for a piece of ground and and outhouse, The K.H. with two comfortable beds, a T.V. with cable, a refrigerator and a clean bathroom is a bargan at $70.00 a day. So we booked it for the same reason most do IT WAS CHEAP. But then we began to read the reviews from other guests and began to think that we had made a huge mistake. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised. Our accomodations were not new or fresh, but they were spacious and clean. The owner was courtious and pleasant and the staff couldn't have been more accomodating. When I questioned Nicole about the bad reviews, especially about the cat attack. She told me that the guest that complained failed to mention that she was attacked by a wild ferrel cat while abducting one of her kittens. HELLO.
I am looking forward to our next stay in Lake George. We will Again stay at the K.H. because it was the only reasonably priced thing we purchased during our vacation. I suggest that all the guests who took the time to write a complaint shoud have driven up the street and pay $250 a day at the Hampton Inn. or the Holiday Inn.
