We booked another week vacation here after having an absolutely awesome first impression of this campground last year. We never regretted our decision! We think we may have to return every year! Our favorite week is Country Western Week. The band this year, Skeeter Creek, was AWESOME! Please bring them back! There is so much to do in the Lake George area, but my children just keep asking when we can go back to the campground. Love the private shower rooms. Only room for improvement would be to make the Bingo sessions move a little quicker (extremely slow) and mail confirmation forms to folks making reservations. They claim to send email confirmations, but I have never received one even after several requests. Can't wait to go back again!

I made a reservation a week prior to arrival and requested an e-mail confirmation. As a Canadian these e-mail confirmations can save you trouble at the border. I was charged $127 as a deposit. Never received the requested confirmation. Had to cancel and expected to pay a cancellation fee but was told that I would pay the entire $127. This place is run by crooks, rude crooks. I camp a lot and this place takes the cake for ripping people off. They do not care if you ever come back, only that they get the opportunity to rip you off at least once. They say it is their policy that you must provide them with written cancellation request 14 days prior to arrival. a written request ? Saying that it is policy does not make it right.

My family and I have been going to Lake George Escape for the past 5 years, and I have to say that this place is unbeatable when it comes to customer service, amenities, and value. The staff is clearly a highly trained one, and I have never once experienced anything other than a kind and courteous staff that know how to accommodate their guests in almost any situation. I was reading some of these reviews and I just realized that they cannot be talking about the same resort that I go to year after year. I've also noticed that some of these negative reviews were rating the "rooms" when they clearly stated in their so called "review" that they had their own RV or Tent. As a matter of fact, some of these "reviewers" also posted pictures that are not even from the same resort. It is obvious that many of these negative reviews are lies made up by some twisted individual who has nothing better to do with his/her time. All I have to say is give Lake George Escape a chance and you will not regret it. Lake George Escape Rules!

The front desk staff were beyond rude. When I called on the phone to ask a few questions she acted as if I was bothering her, she was snippy and and unhelpful. They gave my husband a horrible time when checking in. She then gave our guest a difficult time and when I went to the office to help my guest check in she was unprofessional and had shockingly bad manners and had the audacity to tell me my husband was "difficult and rude" to her! His attitude was only in response to her terrible manners and rude, unprofessional demeanor. She practically interrogated my guest asking her inappropriate and unnecessary questions about our stay. "Why are you here? Are you related? What will you be doing?" That woman put a BAD taste in our mouths for an otherwise nice park. There are MANY other family owned campgrounds who would be more than happy for your business and happy to see you. From other reviews: "The older women at the front desk is terrible and even the workers there said she has a terrible personality." "Called to make reservations for 4 adults and the woman on the phone was incredibly rude. Her tone was not acceptable for any form of customer service and kept sighing as if I had inconvenienced her." "Office manager was snide and intransigent. Campclubusa members are relegated to crappy sites. There are better places. Thank goodness we called to talk to her - it would have been a very unpleasant meeting after a 500+ mile trip to find out that what a previous staff member told us was not true. She was unapologetic and rude."
