Mama Roma formerly, it cannot have improved with the current name. This is a place at the foot of the Catskills you approach at night, when at your wit's ends where to stay. It is basic here, even base. "Terrible" goes too far, just as "OK" would; "not good" may be the mark.
It looks like a motel, and it is one: You get a room, you get a shower, and you get a bed (two, actually, for $77, as on July 7). First thing that needed doing was unblocking the toilet. Mighty plunger was well on hand at the reception, the rest was DIY. It is better not to watch too many motel movies (why is it they are mostly scary?) for it could give you nasty ideas as to what may have caused the block.
Carpet is well worn down; the door does shut but a little bang helps. Beds are creaky, but you will stay just one night, so what. In the morning all you can get for breakfast is a complimentary cup of coffee in the reception. The adjacent pizzeria opens at 11 am, by which time you will be far away.
On the plus side, you can have a funny conversation at the reception, and even practise Italian. There is a washing machine and drier in a separate lockup room which was clean and did a good job for the standard fee. If you think about it in advance and do some time management, it will help your feelings.
Otherwise do not hesitate to cross the main road, go up the hill to Skytop, and get a deal there. It should set you back another $10 or so, but you have escaped lightly.
