Amy and Wayne have done a great job turning their home into a cozy B&B. Everything from the decor to the (absolutely delicious!) food is perfect for the mountain setting! When my husband and I visited, the little town had been devastated by hurricane Irene (literally the prior day). The Snow Goose, however, was untouched. We stayed in the Legacies room and had a wonderful time. We prepared our dinners in the mini-kitchen, planned our days using the free wifi, and warmed our feet by the electric stove. Amy and Wayne helped ensure that our trip was not affected by the hurricane-- they checked on road closures and hiking paths for us and gave us great recommendations for alternative activities. We loved our stay in Keene Valley and had a marvelous time in the Adirondacks. By the time we left Keene Valley 5 days after the hurricane, the little town had come a long way to returning to its pre-hurricane self-- roads were opened, shops were cleaned up, and hiking paths were re-opening.

This was our 3rd... or is it now 4th... visit to the Snow Goose. We have now stayed in all the rooms! As always, rooms are immaculate and beautifully decorated.
If you are coming to the High Peaks to hike in the Giant Wilderness, Dix Wilderness, or Eastern High Peaks, this is it! Amy and Wayne are the best hosts we have ever experienced at a B&B.
If you have to get up early for breakfast, they will leave something for you.... but make sure you stay for a hot breakfast at least one day. Amy is the best breakfast chef in town. (sorry Noonmark Diner!)
We can't wait to return next year and try out the new sleep number bed :)

We just spent a weekend at Snow Goose and stayed in the Passages room which was beautifully decorated (I loved the colors!) and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Amy and Wayne are amazing people and go out of their way to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. We were trying to find a nice bike loop to do and they sat down with us after breakfast to help plan. We loved our weekend and will definitely come back!
