We were en route from California to Spain and needed one quick night in NY to catch a flight the next day. Upon researching hotels, everything was expensive and not worth the money for just one quick night. Opted for Super 8 JFK based on other reviews. Honestly, it was fine for our needs. The room was average - just like any other Super 8 I'm sure. We liked that there was airport shuttle and we didn't have to wait too long at all for pick up and drop-off. The complimentary breakfast was a tad below-average, but I didn't expect much to begin with. Just grateful that there was even one provided!
There are lots of places nearby that deliver so we just had some chinese delivered to our room so we could quickly eat and get some rest before our flight the next day.
I had requested a "crib" on the room reservation, but when I got there, it was not ready yet. Seems like they had to go dig one up in their storage room and it just ended up being a dusty old pack and play. I always bring my own sheet, so make sure you do that if you are going to be using one!
Also, the walls are pretty thin so we did hear noise, which did take away from the perfect night's rest. Nonetheless, we did get some rest and we were on our way. Had booked this hotel for both legs of the trip and both experiences were pretty much identical. I certainly believe that you get what you pay for, but I just didn't find it worth paying more for just a single night en route to the airport.
