Airport hotels are rather sad places. Everyone is in transit - nobody really wants to be there. No one says "Oh Great - we will stay at the airport hotel!" You do it as you have to. This hotel fares a little better. There is a shuttle that comes to collect you at the draughtiest coldest part of the drop offs from the train that goes around the airport but which drops you back to your Terminal once an hour. Be warned. I could have done without the Gospel station and exhortations to avoid sin blasting out of the radio at 6.00am. Heaven may have been for sale but it was hell having to listen.
This hotel has to be in the ugliest location this side of a factory estate. There is no restaurant, no bar, but they will direct you to the hotel down the street to find one. As airport flophouses go I have been in worse. Candidly it is nothing special but it is spotlessly clean and the rooms are perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. The staff on the front desk are lovely and frankly the noise is not bad considering that there is a major airport and a very busy road and the School Bus depot next door.
I rested well, showered and was restored to continue my trip on the morning flight to London. It did the job but it is not fancy and a bit on the barebone side. I think that I would prefer not to have to walk three or four blocks to get a drink or anything to eat and would weigh up the price before booking there again - but it did and I woud return as it really is no less depressing than any of the other airport extablishments
